Pfc Charles Brooks graduated from Oberlin College in 1935 and studied for his master's degree at the University of Chicago. He was a professor of English at Iowa State College.He enlisted on 8 December 1943 at Camden, New Jersey.
He joined his unit from a Replacement Depot on 8 September 1944 and was promoted to Pfc on 1 November 1944.
Pfc Charles Brooks is remembered at the Wakeman Township Cemetery in Wakeman, Huron County, Ohio.
