T/5 Charles C. Crosswhite enlisted in Bend, Oregon on 22 January 1943.He graduated in 1942 from Bend High School. He worked at Brooks-Scanlon Lumber Company, where his older brother and father were also employed. He was interested in cars and machines.
He arrived overseas on 30 August 1943 serving in England, France, Holland and Belgium before being killed in action in Germany in 1945.
