Pvt John A. Farley entered active service October, 1943, received infantry training at Camp Blanding November 25, 1943-April 9, 1944, went overseas June 13, 1944.

John graduated with a B.A in 1939 from Yale. He attended Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration from 1939-1941 and had been working in the aircraft division Ford Motor Company in Detroit,Michigan when he enlisted.

He was killed by anti-personnel mine field explosions. His daughter was only 6 months as he was killed.
