1st Lt Harry G. Brickhouse Jr. graduated from Kirwin High School in Galveston, Texas and St Mary's College in San Antonio. He nursed a desire to go to West Point which he achieved upon graduation from St. Mary's.
He graduated from West Point Military Academy in June 1944 and was sent overseas in January 1945.
While preparing to attack, Lt Brickhouse was mortally wounded.
