1st Lt Louis P. Amoruso was a post office clerk before he enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 30 June 1942. He was posthumously awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree "Honoris Causa" from Boston University.On 10 March 1945, Lt Amoroso took command of C Battery.
On 24 March he was injured by an explosion and died on 27 March.
