Ralph L. Erickson attended Youngsville High School and was employed by the Penn Furnace and Iron Company.He enlisted on 18 October 1943 and was sent overseas in March 1944. He participated in the D-Day invasion in France.
He was reported wounded in action on 2 September 1944 and returned to his outfit after three weeks convalescence.
