Pvt Gene Wilson attended Pioneer and Hancock School.He joined the Regular Army on 20 July 1939 and served in Alaska for three years.
His brother, William, served with the paratroopers in China and is buried at the American Military Cemetery of Manilla, Philippines.
Another brother, Robert, served with the navy somewhere in the Pacific.
