Raymond A. Moore worked on a farm before he enlisted on 13 May 1942 at Camp Josepth T. Robinson, Arkansas.

His remains were found in Strass, Germany and evacuated to Margraten, where he was buried in a temporary grave on 9 June 1945. He was disinterred and prepared for final burial on 24 August 1948 and was given his final resting place on 23 December 1948.
