Pfc Harold C. Wray graduated from Kitanning High School in 1941. During his school days he was active in sports, playing on the high school football team.He was employed by the Dravo Construction Corporation.
On 16 May 1942, he was married to Liefa Corbett.
He enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on 20 January 1943 and was sent overseas service in July 1943.
