Sgt Sylvester E. Mudloff was employed at the G. Greenbaum Tanning Company before he enlisted at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 19 November 1941.

A German Mk IV tank knocked out two M-10 tank destroyers during the attack on Gilrath. Most likely Sgt Mudloff was a crew member on one of those M-10's.
