T/5 Harry E. Hebard was a motor vehicle mechanic and repairman.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States in Los Angeles, California on 2 March 1942.

T/5 Hebard went to rescue a wounded soldier and while returning, an enemy machine gunner killed both of them.
