Raymond Kelly graduated from St. Anthony High School. He studied to become a priest at the Sacred Heart Seminary.

He enlisted in September 1943 and was overseas for six months when he was killed.

After six hours of heavy fighting, his tank was knocked out by a direct hit. The crew was blown to pieces. The remains of Pvt Kelly were not found.
