More information

Sam Cohen attended high school for two years and was a typesetter.

He enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 23 February 1942.

After his mother was invited to indicate her choice where her son would be given his final resting place, his eldest brother wrote a letter informing that his mother was too ill to fill in the appropriate forms. However, there was no answer to the authorities' request to substantiate this with the necessary medical documents. For this reason, it was established with an administrative decision that Sam Cohen would be permanently buried at Margraten. He was given his final resting place on 11 May 1949.
