Pvt Alfonzo McKissack was employed at the Clayton Smith Werthan Bag Company before he enlisted at Camp Forrest, Tennessee on 15 September 1942.He died in a general hospital of injuries to his pelvis, sustained in a vehicle accident.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Champigneul, France.
