More information

Pfc Arthur C. Bamm Jr. volunteered for the Air Corps of the U.S. Army in Detroit, Michigan on 18 September 1942. He attended high school for 4 years.

He was selected for the Army Specialized Training Program (A.S.T.P.) and studied at Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio.

His comrade, Arthur Soddeck remembered Pfc Bamm was killed by a large artillery shell which buried him on the spot at the bottom of a German bunker.

On 10 September 1947 an investigation team searched for his remains in Immendorf. They questioned several officials of the community without any result.
