Charles E. Brown enlisted on 23 July 1942 in Bellevue, Pennsylvania.

According to a letter from his division commander, Major General Alexander R. Bolling, to his mother, dated 7 March 1945, Pfc Brown was killed by shrapnel during an attack in the vicinity of Doveren and Hetzerath, Germany.

In one photo, he poses with his mother and sister, in another photo with his sisters and brother, and in another with his uncle, mother, brother, and sisters.
