T/5 Robert B. Youngs was a waiter.He enlisted in Utica, New York on 23 April 1943.
He landed in Normandy, France a month after D-Day.
T/5 Youngs drowned in the Fulda River while on an excursion boat with eight other servicemen. Only two men survived when the boat was caught in a whirlpool.
