Pfc Stanley J. Midzinski attended high school for one year and was employed by the Scott Paper Co.He enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 5 June 1942.
According to the After Action Report five men were wounded and one was killed when they were surprised by an enemy artillery barrage when they were on route for a hot meal. No other casualties were reported on that day.
