T/5 Walter E. Mc Elroy graduated from Porter High School in 1937.He enlisted in Tulsa, Oklahoma on 11 November 1942.
Before transfered to the European Theatre of Operations, he served with his unit in Iran.
T/5 Mc Elroy died as the result of a skull fracture suffered in a vehicle accident.
