Cpl Philip Keown Jr. immigrated on 9 June 1930 and applied for naturalization on 28 July 1937.He was an elevator operator before he enlisted in New York City, New York, on 14 May 1941 and was released from service on 24 November 1941. On 23 February 1942, he was recalled.
He was killed when his tank was hit by anti-tank fire.
