Cpl William H. Myers Jr. graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1935.He enlisted in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 9 April 1943.
As aircraft spotters, they would take their jeep to high points to spot overhead aircraft. Cpl Meyers was driving the jeep when a land mine exploded directly under it, killing him instantly and causing severe wounds to another team member.
