T/5 Harald Haraldsen was wounded in action and evacuated. He died the same day.

His parents immigrated from Norway.

His brother Kenneth also served, first with the Army Air Corps, later with the 106th Infantry Division during the Battle of the Bulge and also served as a guard in a POW camp.

One picture was found amongst his brother Kenneth's papers by his family. At the back of the photo is written: "Dutch girl scouts at my brother's grave at Margraten, Nederland in 1945."
