Cpl Edward O. Grantham was manager of the Mansfield office of the Household Finance corporation before he enlisted in Columbus, Ohio on 6 August 1943.He was seriously wounded in action in Germany. His wife received three letters from him, two of them written the day before he was wounded and the third on the day he was reported wounded.
He died of wounds at the 111th Evacuation Hospital in Heerlen.
