Pvt Aaron Goldstein enlisted in New York City, New York on 28 July 1943.His tank was hit. His remains were never recovered. It can be assumed that his body was completely burned.
Eyewitness account:
"Now rushing forward against moderate resistance, tanks and infantry reached VK880526. Here, direct fire weapons were met. Two medium tanks were hit while trying to take high ground. One M-4 burned; the other was recoverable. Sgt. Arnold B. Stens, T/4 Victor J. Rassier, and Pvt. Aaron Goldstein are missing from burned tank; S/Sgt. Charles W. Holland was wounded and evacuated."
