Pfc Ferd C. Flagg enlisted in Portland, Maine on 1 August 1944.He was a Bangor High School student. In the refrigeration business; shipbuilder. He was a member the Maine State Guard. He was married to Rosalie P. Hadley on Saturday, 28 October 1939 in Bangor, Maine. Ferd was fatally wounded on 18 April 1945 near Leipzig and died of wounds on 21 April 1945. He was first buried at Breuna American Cemetery. He was one of four brothers who served during the war.
