Pfc Earl R. Simpson, 35, with a service company, died as the result of a vehicle accident. Simpson's truck, hauling ammunition, skidded off a muddy road and turned over.He enlisted on 20 March 1942 at Fort George Wright, in Spokane, Washington and had seen service in Africa, Sicily and France.
Before entering the army Pfc Simpson worked in the Spokane Valley cannery at Veradale.
