Cpl Thomas P. Gogal enlisted in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 8 April 1943 and volunteered for the paratroops.A graduate of Nesquehoning High School in 1941, Gogal was employed by Fauzio brothers, stripping contractors. He was a member of St. Michael's church in Lansford. He was one of five sons in the Army.
He died during Operation Varsity.
