1st Lt Roy F. Parkinson graduated from Walcott High School and attended Chillicothe Business College. He was employed on construction projects at Pine Bluff Arsenal.He enlisted in Little Rock, Arkansas on 24 August 1942. He was sent overseas in June 1944.
He is remembered at the Pine Knot Cemetery, Paragould, Greene County, Arkansas and on the War Memorial at the Greene County courthouse.
