Pfc Victor I. Kalander enlisted in New Haven, Connecticut on 8 June 1943.He entered the Service as a Private. He attended the University of Connecticut at Storrs, worked as a clerk and was single, without dependents.
Pfc Kalander was assigned to Fire Direction Center. While on duty, a malady later diagnosed as hemorrhagic diatheses suddenly overcame him and without regaining consciousness, he passed away the following day.
