Report: 1st Lt John F. Fitzpatrick.
The halftrack of Rifle Squad #3,Co. “A”. 59th Armored Infantry Battalion, 13th Armored Division, which was one of the halftracks in my platoon contained thirteen EM’s at the time it was hit by enemy rocket fire. Of the thirteen EM’s present at the time of the action seven were instantly killed and six escaped with various injuries.

Following are the names of those known to have been killed:
Davey, James S/Sgt 39093065
Ferguson, Allen Cpl 34514338
Creamer, Clifton T/5 37242113
Thudium, William Pfc 39700278
Gordon, Edward Pvt 39051795
Johnson, Everett Pvt 38511070
Germano, Charles Sgt 32217502

Davey, Thudium, Creamer and Germano were identified. It was impossible to indentify Ferguson, Gordon or Johnson as they were burned beyond all possible means of identification.
I talked with the six who escaped, also I checked the six bodies in the halftrack. Thudium, was thrown a short distance from the vehicle.
I was present at the time of the action and witnessed the resulting explosion and fire of the halftrack after it was hit. All of the deceased were members of my platoon.
This action took place at Kempen, Germany. Coordinates 540658, sheet 59, Mulheim, map of Germany 1/50000.
It follows that the attached identification report on Unidentified X----could be either Ferguson, Gordon or Johnson.

The pictures were taken in high school in 1931 and 1932.
