More information

T/5 Arthur A. Bushon enlisted at Fort Custer, Michigan on 3 February 1942.

He served in France, Belgium and Germany.

The circomstances of his death were as follows:
In the performance of his duty as guard at a small lake being used by this battalion as a boat club, he had gone with another Private of his company to retrieve a sailboat that had been taken from the boat yard the night before, and abandoned at the opposite end of the small lake. The two men were sailing the boat back to the boat yard, when a sudden change of wind caused the boat to turn over, sending both men into to the water. Pvt Bushon drowned. He was initially buried in Bensheim, Germany.
